Very recently, a news has come that the CM, West Bengal has
filed FIR against news anchor Sudhir Chaudhary
;is not only heartbreaking ,but shows how partial our leaders may behave. The
days are gone by now, when we were forced to
listen to only one channel and even today many a channels ,But the
powerful platform in the form of Social Media has emerged. Even a tiny incident
occurring anywhere in the world is served to us within minutes and we are at
our liberty to decide and form opinion accordingly. It is also surprising that
the partial stand is taken by Indian Media ,Any news against Hinduism is black
out or minority is highlighted to the extent unbelievable. An incident occurred
in Dadri made much hue and cry ,even the writers so called of repute returned
their awards. Over the recent violence in the West Bengal confirmed by the
pictures and images seen on the Social Media and of course by ZTV make us believe how pathetic and serious is the situation
just in the town nearby Calcutta. India
is 9th unsafest place for the journalists in the world and we talk
of democracy .The voice against the system is heavily curbed resulting of
murdering or the burning of journalists in broad day light ,for the news does
not suit to the interest of one group or
person in the particular. Compared to the world media ,we see that the
journalists go to everywhere in the world and cover the news and bring them
before us ,even many a journalists were beheaded and we understand what is
right or wrong and here in India ,the so called journalists and media
house sit in the AC rooms and according
to the suitability of their interest
,the news is served. What newly elected President of United States said about
journalism in America is more suited to Indian journalism too.
The voice of IVth pillar is silenced, no progressive society
may function in the effective and efficient manner or we were to be left in the
same pot as when we talk of fundamentalism .They grow ,because of what is told
to them as the ultimate truth ,they are cut of from the rest of the world. Here we have seen the partial stand taken by the
Press. A point is to be noted here what mrs Indira Ghandhi said ,Fill all the
important posts with our men ,and they will serve to our interest for years to
come. The same thing has happened here .The Hon’ble court has already scolded
and chided the West Bengal Govt on the question of Durga Pooja and the
intervention is also requested here ,However we are with Sudhir Chaudhry, so is
expected of World Media,for question lies of freedom of press.
