This is hotly discussed issue in Bharat that the Rapist below the age of 18 years is going to be Scot- free after 43 days,for the laws of the nation do not allow a person below 18 to be punished in the same way ,as it is done against a person above the age of 18 years,though the intensity and the nature of the crime may be the same.This is really alarming and no doubt,shall give a platform for others of this nature to be emboldened enough in carrying out the crime of this nature ,wherein a lady was made unconscious and in that pathetic situation,she was not only raped ,but led to death ,and very horrible,her intestines were said to be taken out,how shivering is this to be heard upon.The activist for the rights of the children claim that this rapist should be sent to the Reformative Home instead of the exemplary punishment.The laws are laws and the Justice is dispensed with this way.The need of the hour is this that such laws need to be immediately changed and luckily,the Bill is pending before the Parliament for amendment,whereas it is said to have made the provision for reducing the age from 18 to 16 years.The sooner ,the law is amended ,it will be good for the nation,for we have seen the new and horrible methods being used in the rape cases on increase.The nature of the crime need to be categorized for the exemplary punishment.The tradition bound nation award the serious punishment and put to death through the electric chair,even the progressive nation like USA send such juvenile criminals behind the bars including the life imprisonment.This is the urgent need of the hour that immediate amendment is needed,for we have to care about the other children as well as the people ,before it is too late.This is also true that the reformative steps are taken ,no doubt,but not in the cases of this nature.The circumstantial evidences are sufficient to prove that the age is no bar in the commitment of the crimes. Hence,punishment is also important.No mercy petition to this fellow at all........!However,I as man who has spent sufficient time working in the field of education believe firmly that too much political interference in the education and reducing the right of the teachers and putting unnecessary burden on him ,besides the free use of Internet negatively are mainly responsible for such a drastic change,otherwise leaving a people from criminal background ,such cases were exceptional in our society which need to be reconsidered and revised ,another trend seen emerging fastly is the opinion and policy framing from /by those with zero experience in the matters related to the field who are sick of TV and media prey to their faces and steal the matter from other land and without any practical experience always try to intermingle here in our country(Archna& Raj)
